Toyota is breaking into the Battery EV market in 2022, with the mid-year arrival expected of the All-New 2023 Toyota bZ4X.
The all-electric Toyota will be the first model to launch under the bZ(Beyond Zero) global umbrella for the brand while also debuting the new e-TNGA(Toyota New Global Architecture) platform. Design
Exterior wise, as the images provided can show, Toyota prioritized a modern, sleek, progressive SUV stance on its breakthrough model. Moreover, with the now accustomed grill-less front fascia of the vehicle, prioritizing aerodynamics to extend maximum range was a huge priority to achieve the critical mark of a possible 250 miles per charge for the XLE FWD model. Stylish options available will also include a great-looking set of 20in. Wheels to increase the SUV stance provided.
The bZ4X interior is where the e-TNGA platform helps benefit you, the customer, by providing a spacious interior. In addition, you’ll notice tech luxuries such as 5 USB ports, Qi wireless charging compatibility, and open scenery views offered by the fixed panoramic moonroof.
Tech Specs
The driver will be met by and interact with a large 12.3in. Toyota Audio Multimedia touch screen display to access Standard wireless Carplay compatibility and Android Auto.
Upon its release, the Toyota bZ4X will also be debuting the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. Details regarding the new safety suite include improvements to the features by improving the detection range of the millimeter-wave radar and safety purposed camera. These efforts were made to provide an enhanced pre-collision system to offer Low-Light Cyclist, Guardrail Detection, and Daytime Motorcyslyist Detection. In addition, Lane recognition was equipped with enhanced functionality while in Lane Tracing Assist mode. All to create a safer driving environment.
Performance
As stated previously, Toyota took the necessary steps to achieve the critical manufacturer estimated per charge driving range of up to 250 miles regarding its XLE FWD model. So you will be able to drive through your working commute, go out to lunch, detour to pick up dinner, and still have plenty of range left when you plug back in at home. In addition, by providing the bZ4X with the debuting e-TNGA platform, the battery is placed low in the chassis, which helps to give a more roomy interior cabin and a lower center of gravity to create an overall more engaging driving experience.
